Mainland official meets with former Kuomintang chairman

WUHAN -- Zhang Zhijun, head of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on Monday met with former Kuomintang party chairman Wu Poh-hsiung to discuss cross-Straits relations.

Wu is in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, to attend the "Taiwan Week," a cross-Straits cultural communication program.
