Five died after car tumbles into canal in Central China
CHANGSHA -- Five people, including two adults and three children, died after a private car overturned and tumbled into a canal in Central China's Hunan province Friday morning.
The accident happened at around 9 am when a couple was driving three kids to kindergarten in Xiangyin county in the city of Yueyang. The car overturned at a junction and fell into a nearby canal. All five aboard died of drowning, according to local authority.
Police, firefighters, and officials from local education and health departments joined the rescue operation.
