Young men save two trapped in burning car seconds before it explodes

Three young men risked their lives to rescue people trapped in a burning car seconds before the car exploded, Zhangjiakou Evening Daily reported today.

The three young men were driving a car heading from Xuanhua to Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, on the evening of Dec 10. On one section of the road, they saw a car in the opposite lane was burning, and the three immediately turned the vehicle around to help.

They first pulled the driver out of the car and then found a woman was still trapped in the back seat. One of the three men broke the glass with his elbow and helped the woman out with the help of passersby.

Only seconds later, the fuel tank of the burning car blew up.

The two injured were later taken to a hospital and are in stable condition. The police said the accident happened when the car ran into a trailer parked on the road and then caught fire. The driver of the trailer admitted that he had been drinking and driving.
