Ten suspects are under investigation for their liability in a deadly construction site accident in Fengcheng, Jiangxi province, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Monday.

Among the people under investigation, nine are suspected of "serious dereliction of duty", while one is suspected of "offering bribes", according to the top procuratorate.

A platform more than 70 meters high in a cooling tower at the Ganneng Fengcheng power station crashed to the ground on Nov 24, killing 74 people and injuring another two.

The tower was part of a 7.67 billion yuan ($1.1 billion) expansion plan for the coal-fired power station.

The expansion project's director, Deng Yongchao, and its quality control head, Yang Yunfei, have been charged with dereliction of duty, according to top procuratorate.

They "are highly responsible for the occurrence of the incident", the procuratorate said.

Prosecutors also charged another person with bribery in relation to the incident.
