China has initiated the concept of "new economy" to foster new growth drivers for overall economic transformation, said Li.

China-Russia ties

Premier Li said that China-Russia relations will not be affected by changes in international situation.

"This relationship is an all-dimensional one," he said, adding that President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, have met with each other "quite often".

There is a good political relationship and enhanced economic ties between the two countries.

Culture

China pushes forward a coordinated economic and social development by inheriting outstanding traditional culture and using the strength of ethics, Premier Li said.

In pursuit of modernization, China not only creates material wealth but also tries to meet the people's growing need for richer cultural enjoyment, the premier said at a press conference after the annual legislative session closed.

He advised to search for roots of some problems from the cultural perspective and find a solution to fraud, fakery or dishonesty.
