"The pressure to perform on top of the emotional volatility that teenagers face, lead many students to have all kinds of challenges," Yang says.
Yang says, "The freedom of teaching and the creativity in exchanging ideas with my students is why I got into this job. I also come from a family of teachers, as my grandpa and parents are all teachers."
She reveals that she learns a lot from her 78-year-old grandfather, who has been working in the education field for over 50 years.
Asked about the future, she says: "I would like to cooperate with more Chinese teachers and bring the program to more schools.", adding that she hopes the program could benefit more children and parents.
Being one of the top 10 shortlisted candidates for the award and invited to the forum, Yang also hopes more Chinese teachers could join such global education events and communicate with teachers and educators from all over the world.
"While we face different education challenges in different countries, I believe that we can learn from each other and all parents can take part in their children's progress."
