25 dead in China flash flood
CHENGDU -- Twenty-five people have been confirmed dead following a flash flood in Southwest China's Sichuan province, after the body of the last missing person was recovered on Wednesday.
The flash flood hit Gengdi village in Qiaowo township of Puge county on early Tuesday morning.
More than 200 rescue workers participated in the search for survivors.
The flood destroyed 71 houses. Several roads and bridges were also damaged.
