More Chinese tourists visit Sweden
SHANGHAI - Chinese tourists spent about 153,000 room nights in Sweden in the first half of this year, up 19.9 percent year on year, according to Li Chunmei, chief representative of Visit Sweden in China.
China is one of Sweden's fastest-growing sources of tourists, Li said on Monday. "Stockholm, Skane, West Sweden and Lapland are the most popular destinations," Li said.
More Chinese visitors are turning from traditional sightseeing to in-depth traveling, seeking to experience the local lifestyle, she said.
Visit Sweden released a three-episode mini-film last week to showcase the authentic Swedish lifestyle.
Since 2016, Visit Sweden has introduced "soft adventure" for Chinese tourists, including biking, car hire and parent-child products.
