“I like here and it is so beautiful. Liping is not only a historic county with over 600 years, but also boasts unique folk culture. The paddy rice and Dong clothes really impresses me. Also, the spicy food here is a highlight in my journey,” said Qiang Guangmei, a visitor from Zhejiang province.

In addition, Liping, a red culture education base in China, has been holding a series of training classes and cultural promotion events nationwide on a regular basis by cooperating with Guizhou, Kali and Guizhou Minzu universities.

“I did not expect too much before coming here. But I was wrong and I have leant details in the tough tour of Red Army. As the first county the Red Army has entered the Guizhou province, Liping is a worthwhile place to come,” said Zhao Xiaogang, a college student majoring in English at Guizhou University.

In the era of “Internet Plus”, Liping also shift its eyes on online business. For instance, Tongguan Dong Minority Museum, on the basis of traditional and artistic products such as red rice, Dong tea, Dong umbrella, Dong cloth and Chinese traditional medicine, has opened official online shop in Tencent Micro Shop and Paipai.com. From 2014, the beginning year of running, to 2015, its turnover has already exceeded 5 million yuan within one year.

In the past, rumors circulated that a French folk-song lover tried to find the origin of Dong song but failed because of the inconvenient geographic locations.

Nowadays, Liping, entering the era of high-speed railway and accessible to the outside with a well connected transportation network, embraces the red culture opportunities to facilitate its tourism industry. Liping is ready to welcome the visitors from all over the world.
