Media will play a more significant role in introducing Guizhou province to the world, especially when the region is seeing a period of rapid development, a senior provincial official said.
Chen Yiqin, head of the publicity department of the CPC Guizhou Committee, made a statement on a press conference over the weekend, and said she welcomes both domestic and overseas media to pay more attention to the ongoing wine-expo and upcoming traditional ethnic sports games both held in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province.
The conference is held for promoting the five-day-long "International China wine fair (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo 2011" that has been extended from original term of three days, due to the flourishing business trade.
Chen said on the conference that more than 1,850 wine traders are expected to sign at least 1,600 commercial contracts worth 44 billion yuan during expo.
She added the gala will be in favor of enhancing cooperation between companies inside and outside Guizhou province.
