Second foreign investment fair for west China to be held

The second foreign investment fair for west China is scheduled to be held in Xi'an city, the capital of northwestern Shaanxi province, from Apr. 6 to 8, a source with the fair said Wednesday.
About 150 foreign companies and nearly 1,500 foreign business people from 20 countries and regions, including the United States, France, Germany, Japan, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Taiwan province, are expected to attend the fair.
More than 2,000 projects, covering west China's infrastructure construction, agriculture, forestry, high and new technologies, service industries and tourism, are hoping to attract investment at the fair.
At the joint sponsorship of the China Association of Foreign- funded Enterprises and the Shaanxi provincial government, the fair is said to have drawn 38 of the world's leading multinational enterprises, including Germany's Siemens and Japan's Fujitsu.
