Debut of festival

Updated: 2009-11-16 11:51 With Pier Carlo Orizio standing on the podium and pianist Enrico Pace leading the performance, the China Radio and Film Symphony Orchestra will stage a concert, marking the opening ceremony of the first Beijing Michelangeli International Festival. Held between Nov 19 to 28, the festival is organized by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China, the organizing committee of the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli International Piano Festival and other institutes. The Italian piano festival is among the top music festivals in the world. Named after the late Italian pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, it has been held worldwide over the past 46 years. The Program includes Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No 2 and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 5. 7:30 pm, Nov 19 and costs 80-480 yuan.
