What does wedding mean to you? For many, it should be traditional, while others want it to be unique.

Take your pick, mix and match and define your own wedding at the 2007 Allwedding Fair, which kicks off today at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. It runs through Sunday.

The fair, organized by Allwedding Media, covers more than 10,000 square meters. This year, exhibitors are introducing some innovative products, with the emphasis on luxury.

Featuring wedding banquets in five-star hotels, jewelry, wedding gowns and wedding arrangements, the fair seeks to promote a new wedding trend - more understated, richer and more elegant. The organizer calls it "New Luxury-ism."

The new concept, called Dingji Hunli or Top Wedding, emphasizes simplicity, individuality, perfection and detail, expressed in varied exhibits. They include typical Shanghai-style wedding ceremonies, New Age banquets and boldly designed wedding gowns.

Date: January 12 (for VIPs), January 13-14 (for public), 10am-5pm
Address: 1000 Yan'an Rd M.
