Stylish Korean food(That's Shanghai )
Updated: 2007-02-12 13:46 Korean restaurants are known for their delightful array of small dishes and appetizers. At De'All, this tendency is expressed in a style dubbed "Korean tapas". Executive chef Tony Choi uses mainly Korean ingredients and presents them in a stylish way indeed. Handmade crepe rolls filled with carrot, spinach, black sesame and noodles (RMB 58) tickled our palates, especially when dipped in chili sauce. And while traditional bulgogi is nowhere in sight, sweet pumpkin filled with rice and beef (RMB 68) is a happy alternative: fine strips of barbecued beef marinated in the traditional Korean way married well with the sweet pumpkin flavor. The spacious interior is presided over by a huge, all-seeing, Buddha statue, but if you'd like some privacy there's space behind the row of curtains where you can sit on a cushion, drink a glass of aloe vera juice, and simply relax. Ahh. Food: 3/ Service: 3/ Atmosphere: 3/ Cost for two (excluding drinks): RMB 216 |
