Master the possibilities(beijing weekend)
Updated: 2007-06-21 10:02 What Lucky Street always seemed to lack most was luck. But after checking out the new Master Club, we realize that what it actually lacked was a three storey hip hop club housed entirely underground. Like most venues on Lucky Street, Master seems like it was thought up either before or after a drunken, high stakes poker game. Fronting fake brick walls hung with glossy posters of rap superheroes and plenty of neon running lights, Master falls well on the cheesy side. The copious chain-link fencing, however, is a nice touch, reminding us of fond days spent hooping with the boys in South Central Los Angeles. The rap on Master is that the owner, a local dakuan, opened the club because his son is really into hip-hop. Seems he's also into cute b-girls because when we were there, the place was full if them.
