To meet the training needs of Cambodia, Mr. LI Shufeng was invited to give a lecture on the role of image recording and transmission in promoting the ICH transmission and development. By taking Chinese ICH photos as an example, Mr. Li stressed the important role of photography in safeguarding the ICH. He analyzed the main challenges faced in taking ICH photos, and put forward suggestions for a better development of ICH photography.

Mr. Rahul Goswami and Ms. Paritta Koanantakool were invited to be facilitators for the workshop. Through specific cases, the two UNESCO facilitators illustrated necessary steps for making ICH safeguarding plan, and shared best safeguarding practices of other countries. By taking forms of field visit and group discussion, participants discussed the problems encountered when making ICH safeguarding plan, and figured out the major focus for making future plans.

This workshop is the 3rd ICH capacity building workshop held by CRIHAP for Cambodia. By the end of this workshop, a total of 150 person-times will benefit from the past three workshops. CRIHAP plans to make an evaluation on the 3 workshops, and will try to vary its methods for conducing ICH capacity building activities, so as to better meet the training needs of the member states in the Asia-Pacific region, to promote the localization process of UNESCO’s capacity building strategy, and to contribute to the global cause of ICH safeguarding.
