Project report on “ICH’s contribution towards SDGs” project has been published online
IRCI, in cooperation with the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME), the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES) and the National Commission for Culture and the Art (NCCA)(The Philippines), has conducted the project that aims to contribute SDG4 (Quality education) by incorporating intangible cultural heritage (ICH) into formal and non-formal education from FY 2018 to FY 2019. The project was funded by official development Assistance of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.
In FY2018, guidelines for educational materials were developed by utilising ICH in both countries. In FY 2019, the guidelines were examined in actual classroom settings. The guidelines were revised after the monitoring in each country by experts and the international workshop in Tokyo.
This project report includes “the monitoring reports of the guidelines by experts”, “the outcomes of international workshop” and “overall evaluation of the 2-year project by IRCI”.
The outcomes of the project, the guidelines for formal education in Viet Nam (Vietnamese) and the guidelines for non-formal education in the Philippines (English) (the latest version) can be downloaded from the website: https://www.irci.jp/news/20200303-2/?catid=4
