Help stray animals

On behalf of those citizens who care about stray animals, I wrote this letter to make a public call for help. We are deeply concerned about the living situation of stray dogs in China. The fact that there is no legislation for animal rights protection really bothers many citizens who love animals.

The nation was shocked by the brutal slaughter of dogs that were doused with gasoline and set aflame in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on April 25. A stray dog with her two newborn puppies, all of which got along fairly well with residents in this district, were burned by four nasty people just because the dogs' "barking disturbed their life"!
