Sinosteel India expands markets
Sinosteel India is a subsidiary solely owned by Sinosteel. The company, headquartered in New Delhi, is the first solely owned China-funded enterprise approved by the Chinese and Indian governments.
It has set up three branches in Kolkata, Goa and Hospet in India. Sinosteel India is mainly engaged in development of metallurgical mineral resources, trading and logistics, related engineering technology services, equipment manufacturing and industrial investment projects.
Guided by the strategy of internationalization and specialization put forward by the corporation, the Indian business unit, regarded as an important overseas window of Sinosteel, provides reliable product sources, prompt market information and timely after-sales services to firms.
Meanwhile, the company has spared no effort to promote international trade and has established close trade links with countries in the Middle East and Africa.
As an overseas company owned by a large State-owned enterprise, Sinosteel India is accelerating the construction of a comprehensive steel works and an equipment manufacturing plant in India, promoting the development of metallurgical engineering equipment projects involving in sintering, pellet, coking and blast furnace. It has also undertaken a large number of projects for the construction of steel works in India.
Sinosteel India has been active in promoting economic and cultural exchange between China and India by successfully holding various activities such as Sino-Indian economic and trade symposiums, and theatrical performances called Sinosteel Night, apart from organizing China tours for Indian classical dancers.
Sinosteel India will, under the unified management and coordination of its headquarters based in Beijing, support and cooperate with various specialized firms to promote the Sinosteel brand, and build Sinosteel India into an internationally influential and competitive overseas company.
