Norway and their way

Like the chilled atmosphere of Norway, electronica duo Frost produces ambient dance music that is as musically compelling as it is relaxing. After their appearance at NOTCH (Nordic+Chinese) in 2006, Frost returns to Beijing with its melodic "scando-pop" electronica and will additionally present its new release, Plastic Heart.

Norway and their way

Working with many of the industry's best, the duo has focused on making pop songs about changing the world, backed by tasteful electronic sounds touched by the all-embracing hand of techno, electro or modern disco.

Its latest album and singles have become more upbeat "space-pop", as they continue their search for a pop music from a golden era, filled with joy and creativity. A sweet blend of sultry, angelic vocals and hard-hitting dub productions has produced a catchy soundtrack that will be enjoyed by everyone present at the show. Frost is a collaboration between Aggie Peterson and Per Martinsen. Between them they have operated under, or lent their talents to a variety of names in the Norwegian electronic music scene, namely bands like Moonflowers, Solefald and Those Norwegians (Aggie), and Mental Overdrive, Illumination/Chilluminati (Per). Since the album Melodica together in 2001 they've been collaborating as Frost. Their previous album Melodica consisted of glitchy electro pop and downtempo songs that received great reviews worldwide.

Per Martinsen's lush keyboards mirror the picturesque landscapes of his native country. Aggie Peterson sings in a style reminiscent of Bjork and Enya.

They will be here in Beijing at Block 8, March 8, 9pm. DJs Gao Hu and Patrick Yu keep the party going late into the night. Block 8 is near Chaoyang West Gate, inside the Number 8 Complex on Chaoyang Xilu. 朝阳西路8号 6508-8585
