China's producer price index (PPI) increased 6.6 percent year-on-year in February, the fastest in more than three years, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said yesterday.
The indicator, which reflects the trend of inflation, is half a percentage point higher than in January, indicating greater inflationary pressure, analysts said.
"This signals strong inflation," said Stephen Green, Standard Chartered Bank's head of research, in China.
