Buddhist sutras restored

The achievements of an ambitious project to restore Buddhist sutras created during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) meets visitors at the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage.
On display are material objects, pictures and multi-media programs - which present sections of the ancient religious texts and the progress of the two-year project.
The project, which has received the funding from the US embassy in China with $54,000, has carefully restored 181 volumes of Buddhist sutras.
