9 Chinese lost at sea

Nine Chinese, including eight Taiwan businessmen and one mainlander, had been missing at sea off northeastern Madagascar since Thursday, the Chinese embassy said yesterday.

A ship carrying the nine Chinese and six Madagascan crewmembers left Sainte Marie Island off northeastern Madagascar around noon on Thursday, an embassy official said.
