The UN Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution on Saturday to reaffirm its previous resolutions on Iran and demand the country's full compliance.
The six major countries - the United States, the United Kingdom, China, France, Russia, and Germany - agreed on the text of the resolution on Friday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly's annual debate.
Resolution 1835 reaffirmed its previous resolutions on Iran since July 2006 but contained no new sanctions.
