LOS ANGELES: Brandon Roy drained a three-point shot as time expired to give the Portland Trail Blazers a 101-99 overtime victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Thursday.
With the Blazers trailing 99-98 and 0.8 seconds on the clock, the third-year shooting guard took a pass and shot from three feet behind the three-point line to score game winner.
"I played awful, but played well when it counted," said Roy, who had struggled for most of the night and finished 6-for-18 from the field with 17 points.
