Obey traffic laws to save lives

Comment on "Serious accidents on the increase" (China Daily, Nov 18)

This story downplays the seriousness of regular traffic accidents in which one or two people die. What is China's overall road death toll? Perhaps a bigger picture would tell how urgent strictly applying the road rules should be.
