NEW YORK: Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has been suspended for one game without pay for striking Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut in the face on Saturday, the NBA announced on Monday.

The 211cm Garnett slapped Bogut following a fourth-quarter incident in which the Australian's arm struck the Celtics player in the mouth after the Bucks center was fouled near the basket.

Boston won the game in Milwaukee 102-97 in overtime.
