Man foresaw global crisis

Empty factory workshops, deserted workers' dormitories, and management offices ransacked of anything valuable illustrate the global financial crisis today.

At the photo exhibition Now, which opened last Friday at Shanghai Gallery of Art, these pictures by Jin Jiangbo, each extending as wide as 3 m, tell of the closure of a TV parts factory.

The 36-year-old believes he foresaw the world's problems back in March, when he took the pictures at a deserted factory in Dongguan, Guangdong province.
