19 injured in earthquake

KUNMING: Two earthquakes measuring 4.9 and 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted Yunnan province early on Friday.
Nineteen people were injured and more than 100,000 affected after the 4.9-magnitude quake hit Ruili, a city on China-Myanmar border, at 4:20 am, local authorities said. About 30,000 people were evacuated to safety.
The other quake jolted Yiliang county at 2:19 am. No casualties were reported, but more than 100 houses suffered damage, local officials said.
