Clinton for better ties with China
WASHINGTON: Hillary Rodham Clinton is calling for a "positive and cooperative" relationship with China. She says Beijing is a "critically important actor in a changing global landscape".
But president-elect Barack Obama's choice to be secretary of state warned on Tuesday at a Senate confirmation hearing that "this is not a one-way effort".
She says the future of US-China ties "depends on the choices China makes about its future at home and abroad".
