Souvenir sellers hoping for an Obama bonanza

SHANGHAI: Retailers recovering from a busy Spring Festival are hoping it is not too late to make the most of "Obama fever" with a host of products aimed at marking the arrival of the new US president.

Shops and online traders are reportedly wasting no time in pushing souvenirs celebrating Barak Obama's inauguration last month to shift stock in the wake of the holiday sales.

"The Chinese holiday season arrived too soon after Obama's inauguration, which made many sellers miss out on big sales with Obama-themed products," Guan Chun, an online seller, told China Daily.
