Coca-Cola hikes China investment
SHANGHAI: Soft-drink maker Coca-Cola Company said yesterday it would invest $2 billion over the next three years in China to expand its manufacturing and marketing activities.
The new amount is significant, considering that the Coca-Cola has till now invested only $1.6 billion over the past 30 years in the country.
"We'll be adding new bottling plants and distribution infrastructure, new sales and marketing (through this investment)," said Muhtar Kent, president, Coca-Cola Company.
