10 girls reported to be victims of rape

SHANGHAI: A KTV owner and a former village head in Lishui, Zhejiang province, have been detained and are expected to face charges for the alleged rapes of several local children, Shanghai-based Oriental Morning Post reported yesterday.

A 15-year-old female high school student may also face charges and has been detained in connection with the alleged rapes.

Investigators believe at least 10 girls were victimized in the alleged assaults, the report said.
