YOKOHAMA, Japan: Li Ping and Cao Zhen won the mixed doubles title in an all-Chinese final at the World Table Tennis Championships here yesterday.

The pair beat Zhang Jike and Mu Zi 11-6, 4-11, 11-7, 9-11, 13-11, 11-8.

"It was a difficult match. We didn't know whether we would be able to become the world champions until the end. It was important to believe in each other and never give up," said Cao, teaming up with Li for the first time.
