CORNING, New York: Taiwan's Tseng Yani fired a two-under par 67 on Sunday to capture the LPGA Corning Classic by one stroke over fast-closing American Paula Creamer and South Korean Kang Soo-yun.
Tseng finished 72 holes at 21-under par 267 to take the $225,000 top prize despite a closing-round 65 from Creamer and a 69 from Kang.
She will not have a chance to defend the crown next year, however, because this will be the final edition of the tournament due to a lack of sponsorship.
