HONG KONG: Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung remained out of the limelight yesterday and declined requests for interviews hours after he achieved his dream of buying the Birmingham City "Blues" of England's Premier Football League.

"We've exchanged contracts but we haven't actually handed over the keys," said David Gold, who hopes to remain chairman of the club.

"They are looking to take this club forward," Gold said. "This is a day of opportunity and we should grasp it optimistically."
