Mainland painting sparks art craze among Taiwanese
Taiwanese residents are craving all cultural things Chinese following a painting exhibition by Liu Linghua last month in Taiwan, according to island media.
In what has been dubbed as an "explosive effect" by the media, the Chinese artist has triggered a thirst among locals for more mainland artworks.
The star piece of the show, Liu's most famed Drunken Beauty attracted the most visitors, including Wu Poh-hsiung, honorary chairman of the Kuomintang, who gave the painting high praise during an interview with Taiwan's ETTV station.
