BEIJING - Two months ago, as students began thinking more seriously about the upcoming cutthroat College Entrance Exam, they competed for the front seats in the classroom for better vision and better care from teachers.

But Wang Xiao moved to the back of the classroom.

"I give my seat to my classmates because the exam will just be an experience rather than an exam for me," he told China Daily.
