Tibetan girl waits for life-saving surgery

"I don't want to die," said Chun Xiaomei, a nine-year old girl, razor thin, with a massive tumor on her back.

Chun, from Chayu county in Tibet, was given an overall checkup in Beijing Children's Hospital on Wednesday after receiving lifesaving funds from the Angel Mom Foundation. She will have another CT scan this Friday.

The girl, from the Deng minority group, first noticed a malignant tumor on her back two years ago. It quickly grew to cover more than half her back and has grown by 5 centimeters in diameter in the first half of this month alone.
