Official: Tourism heads China-Ethiopia ties

Chinese visitors, investors benefit from land with ancient civilization

BEIJING - Tourism is one field among many that will play important role in the "special and all-encompassing" relationship between Ethiopia and China in the near future, Ethiopia's ambassador to China said on Tuesday, the day before the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries' bilateral relations.

The two formally established diplomatic relations on Nov 24, 1970, and "have been enjoying a long standing bilateral cooperation" ever since.
