Leaving a government job to be more active in charity

At another warm-up for the 2010 CCTV Business Leader of the Year Awards, economists, scholars and business leaders met last month in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, to share their opinions on China's growth in 2010.

One of those taking part, Wang Fuzhong, head of the Central University of Finance and Economics' finance and policy study center, commented, "People were not confident enough about China's economy early last year.

"Fortunately, they saw rapid growth later thanks to a positive fiscal policy and a moderately proactive monetary policy."
