CCTV gears up to make classic car show with local flavor

With China's ever-expanding automotive industry, I guessed it wouldn't be long before a Chinese version of Top Gear was launched for the domestic audience.

The car show is one of the United Kingdom's most popular television programs, reaching a global audience of more than 350 million viewers.

It also has localized versions running on channels in the United States, Australia and Russia.
