Sui Wenjing/Han Cong

Sport: Figure skating

Age: 15/18

The young pair completed a quadruple throw in its first senior figure skating Grand Prix event this season and took the bronze in the Grand Prix Final. It also defend its Junior World Championships title this month.

Liu Qiuhong

Sport: Short track speed skating

Age: 22

Liu won the gold medal at the Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan in February. She is now ranked second in the women's 500m.

Liang Wenhao

Sport: Short track speed skating

Age: 18

Liang claimed the 500m gold at the World Championships last year. It was the first gold medal for China in a men's individual event since the retirement of veteran Li Jiajun.

Li Zijun

Sport: Women's singles figure skating

Age: 14

Li claimed the bronze medal at the Junior Grand Prix Finals in her debut season this year. She finished ninth at the Junior World Championships this month.
