28 die in bus crashes

BEIJING - At least 28 people were killed and dozens injured in three bus crashes on Saturday in southern China, say reports.

A bus overturned on a mountainous road in Southwest China's Yunnan province late on Saturday, killing at least nine passengers and injuring 24, the Xinhua News Agency said on Sunday.

The bus, carrying 37 passengers, started its journey in Chuxiong and was bound for Dali, a tourist destination.
