Military head to visit
Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, will pay a visit to China in late April, Ministry of National Defense spokesman Yang Yujun said on Thursday.
Dempsey's visit is at the invitation of Fang Fenghui, chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The two sides are discussing the details of his visit, Yang said.
This year will see more important military exchange programs between the two than last year, Yang said.
"We would like to work together with the US to build a new type of military-to-military relationship featuring equality, mutual trust, cooperation and win-win," he said.
