More investigations in graft probe
A host of officials and an executive at a State-owned company have been placed under disciplinary investigation, creating new heat in the Communist Party of China's anti-corruption campaign.
Chen Baihuai, former vice-chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the nation's political advisory body, is being investigated for suspicion of serious violations of laws and Party discipline, according to a statement released by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on its website on Tuesday.
The statement did not give details about what violations Chen is suspected of or when the probe began.
