Education Special: UK swings doors wide to welcome Chinese students
The number of Chinese students applying to UK universities continues to grow driven in part by newly released policies of the British government easing immigration restrictions.
The British immigration policy is "relatively loose in 2014", and the government is encouraging students to stay after their graduation, said Philip Hao, the CEO of UK Visa and International Education Center. This is drawing more Chinese students to study in the United Kingdom this year, he said.
Chinese families view this as a great opportunity to send their children for higher education, he added.
