Hampered by high cost, only resolute sports fans head to Rio
Some Chinese travel agencies have already sold out their World Cup-themed trips to Brazil a few days before the soccer tournament starts.
The World Cup will last one month, from June 12 to July 13, and the tourism authority of Brazil predicts that 600,000 foreign travelers will visit the country during the period.
"The resources of the World Cup, such as game tickets and hotels, are scarce," said Tong Jun, marketing manager of Beijing UTour International Travel Service.
