Heroic students take special gaokao

Two students who were seriously hurt disarming a knife-wielding man on a bus in May took specially designed college entrance exams in Yichun, Jiangxi province, on Wednesday.

Liu Yanbing and Yi Zhengyong missed the national college entrance exam, or gaokao, on June 7 and 8 because they were still recovering from their injuries.

Liu suffered head and back injuries while trying to wrest the knife from the attacker, and Yi suffered wounds on his left hand.
