WIPO opens Beijing office as nation tops global patent rank
The World Intellectual Property Organization opened a new office in Beijing on July 10, marking "a significant milestone in cooperation between China and WIPO", a senior government official said.
"As a crucial, indispensable force in the international IP community, China has maintained close cooperative ties with WIPO," said Shen Changyu, commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office.
"We see fruitful cooperation in an array of sectors such as IP protection, use, research, training, personnel exchanges and international rule making," Shen said.
